What we collect

Enquiries and quote requests: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you are interested in, details about the job and any photos you choose to upload.
Calls and emails: the information you give us when you phone or email us.
Customers: your address, the work agreed, quotes, invoices and guarantee records.
Website use: if you accept analytics cookies, aggregated information about how the site is used (see our cookie policy). Our hosting provider also processes technical data such as IP addresses for security.

How we use it, and our lawful bases

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote — taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
To carry out and guarantee the work — performance of our contract with you.
To keep accounts and records — legal obligation.
To understand and improve the website — your consent (analytics cookies), which you can withdraw at any time.
To protect our forms from spam and abuse — legitimate interests.

We do not use your information for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent it.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with trusted providers that help us run the business, under contracts that protect it: our email provider (to receive and send messages about your enquiry), our website hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), Google Analytics (only if you consent), and, where needed for your job, suppliers or scaffolding contractors. We may also share information if required by law. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses apply.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
Customer records, quotes and invoices: for as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes and for the length of any guarantee we have given you (for example up to 10 years for new roof guarantees).
Photos you send us: kept with the enquiry or job record for the same periods.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability in some circumstances. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Security

Our website is served over HTTPS, enquiry forms are protected against spam, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to help you.
